On Thursday 20th and Friday 21st April the wonderful staff from The Travel Corporation joined the team at the GSPCA.

This is the third year in a row team members from The Travel Corporation have helped at the GSPCA.

Lily Misselke-Evans, Michael Hind, Phillipa Roberts, Anthony Hobson and Jennifer Sales helped on the Thursday and Polly Burke, Sasha Wood, Amber Holt, Lisa Tullier, Eleanor O'Donnell and Deanna Le Page arrived helped on the Friday many of whom were vetrans having helped in previous years.

On both days before they started the The Travel Corporation team had a picture at the front of the GSPCA with GSPCA team members and animals and were then set to work.

The Thursday group spent much of the day helping with the 'Going, Going, Gone Wild' conservation project led by St Andrews Floral Group which included planting willow fedges and pond plants.

Both groups got to help clean out, exercise and care for the 400+ animals at the Shelter and really enjoyed helping in many ways

We are hugely grateful to The Travel Corporation as not only is this the ninth and tenth volunteer day they have helped at the GSPCA, they are also part of our Build Partner sponsorship scheme which is a way businesses can donate to towards our new multi purpose animal welfare building and be part of our future and we also look forward to them helping later this month.

Sarah Ozanne Animal Care Assistant spent her last two days in her role as a Full Time staff member said "It was a lovely last two days and great to have the team from The Travel Corporation helping out."

"Some of the volunteers from  The Travel Corporation had a picture with us when the Slovakian puppies were at the Shelter and completed their isolation over a year ago and a thank you from all of the team at the GSPCA for all of their help."

Ann Wragg Group Leader from St Andrews Floral Group said " The team from  The Travel Corporation were a great help as we are creating wildlife areas around the Animal Shelter and also putting fedges up for some exciting projects which we are going to keep a surprise coming soon."

"Thank you to all that helped they were fabulous and really helped make a difference with the Going, Going, Gone Wild project at the GSPCA."

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Once again we are so grateful to The Travel Corporation for all of their wonderful support."

"It was a real pleasure to have Courtney Walters, Anthony Hudson, Amber Holt and Gemma Honey and Elanor O’Donnel help on Thursday."

"The Travel Corporation staff after each hard and productive day were shown behind the scenes of the site and were each presented with a thank you certificate."

"During the tour many that helped previously got to see the many developments and also a glimpse of Sami the seal pup behind the one way glass."
