Warning & Advice of Newcastle Disease to Poultry & Bird Keepers

Following recent outbreaks of Newcastle Disease (ND) in Belgium and other European countries the UK Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) has advised that the risk of disease has increased from low to medium and the GSPCA wanted to share this important information.

Tomorrow at 3.30pm we hold our eight volunteer induction of 2018 and we have inducted through these alone 101 new volunteers, placements and work experience since the start of the year. All are welcome to the induction although for those wanting to help onsite at the Shelter the minimum age is 13....
