A great Taste at the first Seafront Sunday - thank you to all involved

A huge thank you to all that supported our stall Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday.

This weekend was the first of the Seafront Sundays and saw over 4000 visitors off a cruise liner which made for a very busy day.

Once again we set up just outside Marks and Spencer with all of our fun games, tombolas and a few goods on sale.

We raised over £800 and our stall proved very busy throughout the day which saw quite some sunshine.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "What a fantastic, busy day we had this weekend at the Taster Seafront Sunday."

"A huge thank you to volunteers Shirley, Bridget, Brenda, Steve and his kids that helped me through the day as it was extremely busy."

"Also a massive thank you to the team that put on the Taste Seafronts as they are always wonderful events."

"We are appealing for volunteers to help on the events we have upcoming including our own Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday which is the next of them on the 15th May."

"Next week for Liberation Day we have a stall in town and at the Last Post so another busy weekend ahead preparing and fund raising for the many animals in our care."

"After the GSPCA Seafront Sunday a week Sunday there is the Arts Sunday on the 5th June and the next Taste seafront Sunday is the 26th June and we will be at both."

Please don't forget our BIG DAY on May 15th which is our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday with lots going on.

The winner will be chosen at random on the 15th May at our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.

We need to get at least another 12kg or more on her to be fit enough for the wild and we are hoping this competition will help raise the funds to get that final weight on her and help with the care that she has had at the GSPCA.

The winner will be chosen just after 3pm at Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 15th May.
