The GSPCA couldn’t achieve so much without our trained staff and we are excited to announce two full time posts have become available as sadly two of the team in recent months returned to their homeland.

We also have casual posts especially for those available during weekends and bank holidays.

The full time posts include various duties from animal care to reception and the successful applicants will also be required to help cover night shifts at the GSPCA which tend to be over the weekend.

You can also get a pack sent out by calling 01481 257261 or email [email protected]

The closing date and time for the posts is 12pm Friday 26th March 2021.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have a fantastic team at the GSPCA from the staff to the volunteers and with 3000 animals through our doors every year the work is really 24/7 365 days a year.”

“We sadly lost two team members in recent months as they returned to their homeland, but this means there are two exciting opportunities for those looking for a challenge.”

“Working for the GSPCA is hugely varied and every day we face new challenges.”

“Although we do see some very sad and upsetting sights such as sick and cruelly treated animals but we make a huge difference to their lives every day as well as helping our community in many ways.”

“One really important aspect of these roles is working with the public as without their support we couldn’t achieve so much, so customer relations is key to any applicant.”

“We are also advertising for casual posts, especially for those that can help on weekends and bank holidays.”

“Applications can be downloaded from our website or please contact the front desk and they can send a pack out.”

“Closing for applications is 12pm Friday 26th March 2021 and we are hoping to hold interviews from the 5th April.”

“There are many ways you can help support our vital 24/7 work and donate or raise funds for the hundreds of animals in our care.”

“With over 140 hedgehogs, 3 seal pups, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, fish, reptiles and many birds we help over 3000 animals through the doors every year.”

“With so many animals in our care we would love you to join our sponsor scheme to help us each month.”

“Just a couple of pounds each month can make a massive difference in helping the animals in our care and to find out more please go to .”

“We couldn’t do so much without your support and here a few ideas of how you can help us help animals in Guernsey.”
