The GSPCA would like to thank the Guernsey Swimming Club who organise the Christmas Day swim for allowing GSPCA supporters to take part in the Swim at the Havelet Bathing Pools.

There are a number of brave souls that will be giving up some of their Christmas morning to jump in the icy water and raise funds to help the work of the GSPCA.

The swimmers so far are -

Steve Byrne

Helen Holmes

Geoff George

Becca Martin

Annie Janes

Lucy Ogier

Tony Gallie

Chantelle Mullholland

The Polar Bear Swim takes place at the Havelet Bathing Pools on Christmas Day at 10am and the GSPCA would really appreciate your support as they take the plunge.

All monies raised will be donated towards the work of the GSPCA and help with the rescue and animal care work we carry out every day.

To join in please register with [email protected] and download the sponsor form by clicking here

If you don't fancy braving the icy water then you can donate by sponsoring the swimmers at the GSPCA reception or donate online via PayPal and reference 'Polar Bear (and either all or the swimmers name)' or the individual you are sponsoring.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'Last Christmas there were 10 of us that did the swim which was made up of staff and volunteers.'  'It was great fun although rather chilly.'  'A fantastic way to start your Christmas Day and if you are interested in helping we would love for you to get in touch.'
