Le Friquet Garden Centre are holding an annual Family Fun Day on Saturday 30th July from 11am on their front lawn.

Their activities are free, ranging from fun planting workshops, face painting, bouncy Castles and music. 

We will be there with our fund raising stall with all the classic tombolas and other games to raise funds for the GSPCA.

Le Friquet Garden Centre will release more details soon and we look forward seeing you on the 30th July.

Over the weekend the GSPCA team enjoyed three days raising funds at the The Gathering which proved to be a fantastic music festival with amazing weather.

A three day boutique music festival was had celebrating the diversity of the Guernsey music scene. Multiple stages showcasing everything from Rock to Dance music.

Over a hundred of the best Guernsey musicians showed off their skills.

Headline sets from Fade to Grey, King Rat and the Soulcats, Buffalo Huddleston, Pete Framton, Static Alice, Sugar Slam and Elysium entertained over 1000 ticket holders over the weekend

Hearing Dogs and the GSPCA team up to raise funds with a behind the scenes tour - thank you to all that supported

Last night the GSPCA and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People teamed up to for an evening at the GSPCA to see behind the scenes, refreshments and a talk about the work at the Animal Shelter.

The tour started 6pm and those attending got to see the lovely grounds at the GSPCA and the many animals in the care of the Shelter.

With Olivia the loggerhead turtle soon to be flown south the group were lucky enough to see her having her evening squid.

After the tour of the facilities the group enjoyed a chat with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne over a hot drink and biscuits.

A very busy Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday - Thank you from the GSPCA

The GSPCA once again joined in what was a lovely Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday on the weekend.

Our stall at the Taste Seafront Sunday was just outside Marks and Spencer with all of our fun games and tombolas which helped raise £614.49p for the animals in our care.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We had a lovely day at the Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday and it was amazing to meet and chat to many of the lovely visitors off the two cruise liners that were in the Little Russell."

On Sunday over 150 visitors joined the GSPCA volunteers, Guernsey Floral Group and St Andrews Group with a walk around a stunning garden with amazing views.

It all took place on Sunday 26th June 2016 between 14:00 - 17:00 and despite a busy Guernsey with many other events taking place crowds flocked to visit the amazing garden with fantastic views.

Special guided tour shows off the GSPCA to visitors from the opposite side of the world - would you like to book a tour?

On Thursday a group of 4 islanders with 3 visiting family members from Australia had a special guided tour of the GSPCA.

The group were shown behind the scenes and learnt from Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager about the rich history of the GSPCA and future plans.

From seeing baby birds being feed to young hedgehogs, holding tortoise to seeing Bonnie the seal pup and of course the highlight Olivia the turtle.

Cake and volunteer appeal to help this Sunday with an Open Garden - L'Etiennerie Farm in aid of the GSPCA - Sunday 26th June

Could you make cakes to sell at an open Garden this weekend or even help? If you can make any cakes please do pop them into the GSPCA ideally by 5pm on Saturday please. If you can help please do let us know as we are looking for volunteers between 12pm and 5pm to man the car park and serve refreshments.

Join us for a walk around a stunning garden with amazing views on Sunday 26th June 2016 between 14:00 - 17:00.
