The Donkey Derby is always a lovely family day out and why not pop along to see the GSPCA and many other charity stalls this Saturday.
We are hugely grateful to the Lions Club of Guernsey that hold the annual event and we look forward joining them this weekend.
This Saturday is a busy day for the GSPCA as we not only have our stall at the Donkey Derby we also have our annual flag day taking place around Guernsey.
This year the GSPCA Flag Day is this Saturday on 20th August and we really need your help
We are at many of the regular locations and here is the list you can see us collecting this weekend and where we need your help

On Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August it is the North Show and the GSPCA will be there with a stall for the fifth year in a row.
Not only will we have a stall but we are also getting involved in a much bigger way with the first ever Fun Dog Show to be run at Saumarez Park during the North Show by the GSPCA.
To enter please bring along your canine friend or friends on the Wednesday and register at the GSPCA stall which will be next to the main arena.
For the fifth year in a row the GSPCA are attending the West Show which will be held on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th August 2016.
If you would like to help volunteer of support us we would love to see you on our stall.

You are invited to a day of dancing and music at Saumarez Park.
Free workshops in Irish dancing for children and adults
The organisors are asking you to come along and learn some Ceili dances - available from 12 till 4
Cream teas and refreshments served with charity stalls on site
From 4pm till 8-30 Live Music and Ceili Bring your own picnic and join in the fun
The last Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday is planned this weekend on the 14th August.
Please support them and come and see our stall on what should be another great day.

On Saturday the 3rd September the GSPCA go wild cave man and animal style at the MFA Guernsey Bowl with Buffalo Huddleston.
For £20 per person join us for a unique night of food, bowling and entertainment by one of the best Guernsey bands.
We are aiming at selling tickets in groups of 8 so a total of £160 per group, but will sell individual tickets to those happy to share a lane with new cave man and animal friends.
There are prizes for the best dressed team, individual and highest scores.
On Saturday the GSPCA joined Le Friquet Family Fun Day.
The day was a great success with hundreds of islanders enjoying many of the free things to do for the children from bouncy castles to face painting, making potted plants to seeing the Giant Animal Mascots.
GSPCA team members Kevin, Shirley, Bridget, Steve, Jo, Jo, Joseph, Jake, Helen and Guy helped with the stall raising over £880 for the 350+ animals at the Animal Shelter.
Once again we joined the Taste of Guernsey Seafront Sunday on Sunday.
It was their third Seafront Sunday of 2016 and once again we are hugely grateful to them for letting us join them for what was a great and very popular day.
Our stall at the Taste Seafront Sunday is likely we will near Thomas de la Rue with all of our fun games and tombolas which helps raise hundreds of pounds for the animals in our care.

On Saturday 23rd July the Red Cross held their Grand Summer Fete by kind permission of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Vice Admiral Sir Ian and Lady Corder.
The event was hosted by Island FM’s Josh Gabriel and there was plenty of stalls, tombola and teas.
The GSPCA were kindly invited and we had a wonderful afternoon at this fantastic annual event.
There were dance demonstrations by B Creative which entertained the crowds as well as family fun and children’s games throughout the afternoon.
