This Friday June 26th is Bring Your Dog to Work Day.
Having a dog in the room can make human colleagues more cooperative, reduce stress, increase job satisfaction and productivity.
When adopting a dog or any animal from the GSPCA we often ask how many hours potential owners may be at work. Perhaps the question should actually be - are you able to take your dog to work?
Discussing the benefits of taking a dog to work might just result in a match with a dog we have in for homing.
Last night we welcomed some of our wonderful supporters to our Summer Solstice and Hawaiian themed bingo fun evening at the Market Bistro.
Celebrating the longest day and the Summer, in aid of the GSPCA we hold a themed bingo night each month to help raise funds for the hundreds of animals at the Shelter in St Andrews.
The night started at 7pm where Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager called out the numbers and handed out lots of themed prizes.
From garlands to cuddly toys, cash prizes to GSPCA mugs every table went home with something they had won.
On Friday the GSPCA team went into St Peter Port to join the Guernsey Roundtable Harbour Carnival.
With the sun shining we set up our stall on Albert Pier and shortly after 6pm the crowds started to arrive.
The GSPCA stall had a selection of fun games and tombolas, as well as a selection of goods on sale raising funds for animals in Guernsey.
On the 7th June the GSPCA took a stall down to join the many others celebrating the first Arts Seafront Sunday.
We would like to thank the organisors, the volunteers and all that supported our fun games stall outside Marks and Spencers.
We raised a fantastic £800 and had a huge amount of fun meeting both local supporters and the many visitors.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "A huge thank you to the Arts team, our volunteers and all that supported us on the 7th June, we had a great day and raised over £800 which will help animals in Guernsey."
On Sunday 28th June 2015 at the Royal British legion in L'Islet a charity bingo and raffle is being held in aid of the GSPCA.

We are hugely grateful to those involved and inviting us to be part of this wonderful event and would love to fill the hall which often seats up to 300 players.
