This Sunday pop into St Peter Port to support the Arts Seafront Sunday and visit our stall raising funds for animals in Guernsey.
From 10am until 4pm the sea front will be packed with stalls and things to do with an arts theme.
We are extremely thankful to Arts Sunday for allowing us to join them this weekend.
If you can help out on our stall we will be setting up from 8am and will be there until just after 4.30pm.
Come and see our GSPCA stall at the Guernsey College Family Fun Day at Delancy Park between 11am and 4pm Thursday 2nd June 2016.
Their Health & Social Care, Sport and Childcare students are arranging an event at Delancey Park to raise money for 3 local charities.
They are making the most of the May half term and are hoping to make it fun for all the family!
On the day there will be stalls, games, a raffle, food, inflatables, face painting and much more. More details to follow on all of the above and special guests attending.
On Saturday Maddie Noyon and a group of her friends came along to the GSPCA for a Birthday guided tour.
Maddie who has just turned 7 years of age got a very special behind the scenes tour with her friends at the Shelter in St Andrews.
On requests we will arrange a special tour for a minimum donation and on Saturday Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager took the group around the site.
From seeing our resident tortoise to stroking Monkey a diabetic cat the girls all had a lovely evening.
A week Monday during the half term why not pop to the GSPCA for a guided tour to see the hundreds of animals in our care.
Every Spring we help hundreds of baby birds, hedgehogs and many more wild animals and birds.
We are arranging the guided tours on a series of dates at 2pm.
We ask for a minimum donation of £5 per person and £3 per child, or £15 for a family of four. Later in the year we have some themed tours which are £15 per child.
This Monday is World Turtle Day.
Could you, your school or work place do something to help the endangered species at the GSPCA.
Olivia the loggerhead turtle after 2 months has finally started eating on her own and we are currently trying to raise either £10000 for a flight for her to the Canary Islands or looking for someone kind enough to help fly her south where she belongs.
On Monday World Turtle Day celebrates turtles around the world and Olivia isn't the only turtle at the Animal Shelter as we also have two musk turtles in our care.
Next Friday Herm will rock to help a very hard shelled lady.
Playing a set 80s classic, Fade2Grey will be landing in Herm helping to raise funds for the very endangered Loggerhead Turtle that is in the care of the GSPCA.
Last week the band visited the GSPCA to see the hundreds of animals at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews which included Bonnie the seal pup to baby birds, rabbits in need of homes to injured hedgehogs.
Over the last two Tuesday evenings we have run our cat and dog first aid courses.
Each course started just after 6.30pm and involved learning about how to save a cat or a dogs life and hints and tips on what to do.
Last night we held the Dog First Aid Course which was run by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne and saw 9 dog lovers learning how to help four legged friends in a number of life saving circumstances.
Molly a beagle owned by the GSPCA Manager popped in half way through for those attending to help look for a heart beat in a dog.
This Sunday Giant Animal Mascot 5-a-side football event at 2pm, would like to join in?
Once again we will be holding a Giant Animal Mascot event but this year there are a big twist.
This is open to mascots and individuals prepared to dress as an animal and play a fun football game with a rather over sized ball.
We are asking businesses, pubs, individuals or anyone as a team of 5 or an individual and we can make extra teams on the day.
