Yesterday 5 staff from The Travel Corporation joined the team at the GSPCA and gave up a day in the office to help out.
This is the third time this year team members from The Travel Corporation have helped at the GSPCA and we also had many of their team assist us last year.
On Thursday evening the GSPCA held a volunteer induction and greeted 11 new faces wanting to help out at the Animal Shelter and 24/7 work that is carried out.
Those present were interested in helping with dog walking to reception, cat pen cleaning to helping with the wildlife, fund raising to volunteering to gain experience for their CV, Duke of Edinburgh and some to help gain life skills.
On Thursday (tomorrow at 6.30pm) we hold our fourteenth volunteer induction of 2016.
We are blessed with over 600 volunteers helping the GSPCA every year and on average over 100 every single week.

We are always looking for volunteers to help at the Shelter in a variety of roles. 
Last night we held our 13th volunteer induction of 2016 and welcomed 8 new team members wanting to help the work at the GSPCA.
It all took place at the Shelter just after 6.30pm where Jade, Kylie, Kristina, Pippa, Tina, Katherine, Martin and Dylan were welcomed by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne and learnt about the work of the Animal Shelter, the areas they can help and how to work safely.
After the 90 minute talk each received a certificate and got the chance to speak to Steve Byrne and a date was set for each to get involved.

Today a team of staff from Credit Suisse gave up a day in the office to help out at the GSPCA.
We were pleased to welcome back Credit Suisse staff for the third year who are always a great help to the team at the Shelter.
On Tuesday evening the GSPCA held our second induction this month and greeted 12 new faces wanting to help out at the Animal Shelter and 24/7 work that is carried out.
Those present were interested in helping with dog walking to reception, cat pen cleaning to helping with the wildlife, fund raising to volunteering to gain experience for their CV and some to help gain life skills.
Some of those attending were students from Beucamps, Elizabeth College, Grammar School and Ladies College carrying out Duke of Edinburgh or volunteer placements.
Tuesday evening the GSPCA greeted 14 new faces wanting to help out at the Animal Shelter and 24/7 work that is carried out.
Those present were interested in helping with dog walking to reception, cat pen cleaning to helping with the wildlife, fund raising to volunteering to gain experience for their CV and some to help gain life skills.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager greeted the group and gave a presentation and talk about the work we carry out 24 hours 7 days a week, the differing volunteer roles and how to work safely at the GSPCA Shelter and our events.
Last Wednesday 5 staff from The Travel Corporation joined the team at the GSPCA and gave up a day in the office to help out.
This is the second time this month team members from The Travel Corporation have helped and 3 of the group had helped last year at the GSPCA.

Ashley Conquest & Kiera Hanley arrived at 9am where they received a short induction before helping around site with the 300 animals at the Shelter in St Andrews.
