The GSPCA would like to say a huge thanks to all that helped make the 80th Liberation Day such a special occasion for many reasons.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “What an amazing 80th Liberation Day.”
“From all at the GSPCA we want to thank everyone for such a special day.”
“We have to mention our team who had to work, help run a stall at North Beach and we even had an entry for the first time in the Cavalcade.”
“Our entry was one of our GSPCA Ambulances decorated with a very creative HMS Bulldog.”
“The stall we had at North Beach between the day and a donation from the stall raised nearly £3000.”
“We actually after speaking to a supporter had a wonderful donation for our Wish List to buy a new Intensive Care Unit which was so incredibly kind.”
“Thank you all that supported and helped on our stall, and we can’t forget the staff and volunteers working around the clock to help care for and rescue animals in need such as a hedgehog we named Liberation 80 as well as a very late night stray cat who was back with its owner the next day thanks to its microchip.”
“This is a very busy week for us as we have many events from our Cupcake Week to Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday, Candidate tours and first aid courses.”
