On Saturday 7 volunteers from the Medical Specialist Group (MSG) spent the day helping at the GSPCA Animal Shelter in St Andrews.

With a busy few weeks ahead of the Animal Shelter with Spring and many fund raisers from all of our team and animals we would like to thank the MSG staff for all of their help.

The group arrived just after 9am and were giving a quick induction in the morning by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne before being set to work around the Animal Shelter.

From walking dogs to washing dishes, scrubbing out cages to loading vans with fund raising goods, helping with grounds work to preparing tombolas the group were kept very busy around the GSPCA.

After a morning of hard work and a huge amount of help the 7 volunteers Sami Hobbs, Micky Le Flock, Alison Cleveland, Jon Lenfestey, Vikki Zabiela, Leigh Le Page & Natasha Garnham were given a behind the scene tour of the GSPCA meeting Bonnie the seal pup to Olivia the turtle.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Once again we are hugely grateful to the team from MSG who helped us at the GSPCA on Saturday and who have now helped us three years in a row which is amazing"

"We have so many fund raisers upcoming their help loading the van resulting in us raising ove r £800 at the Taste Seafront Sunday."

"Thank you to Sami Hobbs, Micky Le Flock, Alison Cleveland, Jon Lenfestey, Vikki Zabiela, Leigh Le Page & Natasha Garnham from the MSG for all of your help on Saturday."

"There are many ways companies and individuals can help and support our work at the GSPCA and anyone interested please do get in touch."

The winner will be chosen at random on the 15th May at our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.

We need to get at least another 12kg or more on her to be fit enough for the wild and we are hoping this competition will help raise the funds to get that final weight on her and help with the care that she has had at the GSPCA.

The winner will be chosen just after 3pm at Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 15th May.
