We continue to search for Bertie and log reports from around Guernsey

We have had a number of recent reports in the Perelle area, which could have been Bertie, but we still have no pictures to confirm it was him.

Staff, volunteers and many wonderful kind souls are continuing to help in the search for Bertie, as well as displaying posters to help advertise him.

Previous sightings have been around the Grandes Rocque, Barras Lane and near St Sampson's High School.

Yesterday we received calls from the Bouet and St Martins area about possible sightings which were investigated.

Many of the sightings continue to appear late at night or early hours of the morning, and with nervous dogs that are stray this can often be the case.

We continue to work closely with Clive and Lynn McMinn to help in the search of their dog Bertie and we all appreciate the wonderful public support.

We would like to highlight that Bertie is a very timid little lad, especially with men and people he doesn't know.

If you do spot him then please call us at the GSPCA on 01481 257261

Please do not approach or try to catch him as it is likely to scare him away and not help with his safe capture.

If he is in a secure area where you can close a gate or door then please do so and give us a call at the Shelter.

With all reports the time, location and direction of movement is extremely important.

If you are able to get a picture or video clip this would be extremely helpful.

At the GSPCA we have team members at the end of a phone and manning our ambulance 24 hours a day.

We have had a number of suggestions to help with his capture and many worried for him with regards his health.

With those putting food out for him, as well as food for hedgehogs and feral cats in and the other sources it is extremely unlikely he will go hungry.

We are doing everything we possibly can, but we cannot move forward until we know his exact movements.

There is a reward for his return of £200.

Cameras are now in possible sites where Bertie has been seen.

You can see the type of camera we use on our Amazon Wish List - please click here.
