Ann’s fund raising cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats started on Saturday please do sponsor her and follow her journey

Ann Bowditch has set off and as a reminder this was her telling us of her fund raiser ‘This is Jasper. As a kitten he had bad conjunctivitis and was going to be put to sleep by a big rescue. The smaller rescue I supported rescued him, nursed him to health and he came, with his best friend, Miss Tulip, to live with me.

Jasper has the most amazing character. Everyone who meets him loves him.  He is a carrier of the Herpes virus but nothing stops him loving life. Jasper's story is just one example of animals given a second chance by an amazing rescue.

I have always loved animals and had a special affinity to cats. I have 7 rescue cats and have seen the important work that rescuers do. I have total admiration for their efforts.

It is time I stepped up and raise funds. Hence I am doing a solo ride from Lands End to John O’Groats starting 27 June 2026. My aim is 8 days. My route will be c. 1000 miles with over 37,000 feet of climbing.

This will be a massive challenge for me. I will have put in over 10 solid months of training in by the time I start.

I really appreciate your donation.

My local charities are our long term GSPCA and Guernsey Lost and Found Pets who do fabulous work helping Islanders reunite with their pets amongst other contributions to help strays etc.
