Last Saturday the GSPCA and Beau Cinema teamed up for the third time with a cinema showing and GSPCA take over in the Beau Sejour foyer.

The Animal Antics event was a screening of Secret Life of Pets 2 and the GSPCA filled the foyer with tombolas and goods to raise funds for the animals in our care, show case our work in displays and we also had a number of animals in need of homes.

Mr Thatch the bearded dragon had many children mesmerised, Sneezy the dwarf hamster showed of his acrobatics, Homer the cockatiel tweeted to those watching, the two rabbits entertained the crowds and the large tub of meal worms confused many.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “What a fantastic day we had on Saturday at the Beau Cinema and so much fun.”

“We held an Animal Antics event in conjunction with Beau Cinema which included a chance to meet some of the animals at the GSPCA in need of homes, displays about our work, lots of games and goods to raise funds and finished with the main event of a screening of Secret Life of Pets 2.”

“Volunteers Tim, Michelle, Bridget, Evie, Joseph, myself, Gail with her two dogs Rummie and Bundi who were adopted for the GSPCA and her niece were all at Beau Sejour and all had a great afternoon.”

“Not only was over £800 raised, we also had a huge amount of interest in the animals looking for homes and enquiries about volunteering and our work at the GSPCA.”

“It really was a packed event and so lovely to see so many that enjoy what is a fantastic film.”

“A huge thanks to all that helped, the wonderful team at Beau Sejour and all that supported what was an incredible event.”

“Our next events are in March and include a Dog First Aid Course, Volunteer Induction Evening, Pub Quiz and with Sidneys Sponsored Event a Tina Turner Ball and all the details can be found on our website www.gspca.org.gg , our social media or by calling us on 01481 257261.”
