“We have lots of great ideas to help raise funds by making, baking and selling cake and for those that would like to drop some into the GSPCA to sell here we would love any support this week and especially for our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 26th May.”
Emma Topley GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said “I’m hand rearing baby hoglet Norma who’s life was saved by an intensive care unit and our rescue work and care and one idea is to make cakes with hedgehogs on to directly help raise funds for new intensive care units.”
Geoff George GSPCA Animal Collection Officer and Head of Marine Mammals said “Why not make cakes with seals on them to help raise funds for the 5 seal pups we have in our care and especially this week to celebrate as we hope to release 2 on Tuesday all being well with the weather.”
Seb Goman GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said “Harley is just one of the dogs that needed a life saving operation and you could decorate your cakes with puppies to help those in our care or even use our pupcake recipe to make cakes for your dog and others and help raise funds for those in need in Guernsey.”
Yvonne Chauvel Senior Animal Care Assistant said “Our biggest wish list item currently is our Wildlife Hospital so why not do a selections of wild animal decorated cupcakes to help towards this much needed build and the 2000 animals that come through our care.”
Steve continued “There are many ways to get involved with GSPCA Cupcake Week and for those that can’t make our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 26th May making some cupcakes or pupcakes is a great way to support our BIGGEST day of the year celebrating animals in guernsey.”
