The team at the GSPCA are getting into the festive mood and this morning will be exchanging their Secret Santa gifts and here they are pictured with one of the latest stray animals to arrive Scott the Bearded Dragon that was found yesterday.
Scott is the second bearded dragon to be found in the area of Saumarez Lane, near Saumarez Park as we had Debbie found not far from the area earlier this year.
If you know of someone who has lost their bearded dragon please ask them to call the GSPCA on 01481 257261.
Staff and volunteers today have come dressed in festive wear and are donating to Ellie a cocker spaniel who has needed an operation and care costing £2000 which if she hadn’t of had it is unlikely she would have seen this Christmas.
The GSPCA team are also helping raise funds for the two rescued seal pups which also would have perished and not seen Christmas if they hadn’t have been rescued.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “At the GSPCA today we are getting into the Christmas spirit and raising funds for 3 animals in our care that would not have seen Christmas if they hadn’t have had their recent life saving care.”
“Ellie the cocker spaniel was found to have a large lump on her spleen and the two seal pups were found starving and we are appealing for funds towards their care and today the team are donating to help these three incredible animals.”
