GSPCA Biggest Build Appeal – GSPCA Wildlife Hospital Walls Rise as Appeal Hits £1.8 Million

The GSPCA is thrilled to announce that the walls of its new Wildlife Hospital are now going up as part of the Biggest Build Appeal. Thanks to incredible community support, we have raised just over £1,800,000 of our £3,700,000 target. This milestone brings us closer to creating state-of-the-art facilities for the thousands of animals we help every year.

However, there is still a long way to go. Additional works, such as installing solar panels (estimated at £65,000 per building) and upgrading our IT systems (£12,000), are vital to ensure the new facilities are sustainable and efficient.

We’ve launched a new leaflet to make it easier than ever to Buy a Brick or donate to the Biggest Build Appeal. Every contribution helps us build a brighter future for animals in Guernsey.

To download the leaflet please click here https://www.gspca.org.gg/sites/default/files/GSPCA%20BIG%20BUILD%20Appeal%20Dec%202025.pdf

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"Seeing the walls of the Wildlife Hospital rise is incredibly exciting, but we still need your help to finish the job. From bricks to solar panels, every donation counts. Please join us in making this dream a reality."

The GSPCA continues to appeal for support in various ways:

  • Buy a Brick to leave a lasting legacy
  • Sponsor a Room in the new Wildlife Hospital
  • Make a Donation to help fund construction and supplies
  • Support Green Energy: The GSPCA is exploring solar power and air source heat pumps. A donation of £65,000 would fund solar panels, helping reduce monthly electricity costs and the shelter’s carbon footprint.
