GSPCA Celebrates Volunteers’ Week and Thanks Over 800 Supporters & Volunteer Induction 630pm tonight or apply online
To mark Volunteers’ Week, the GSPCA is proudly celebrating and thanking the 800+ volunteers who generously give their time each year to support animals in need across Guernsey.
From committee members helping guide the charity, to ambulance wardens, dog walkers, fosterers, shop volunteers and dedicated fundraisers, volunteers play a vital role in every aspect of the GSPCA’s work.
As part of Volunteers’ Week, the GSPCA is also hosting a Volunteer Induction Evening today at 6.30pm, offering those interested a chance to learn more about how they can get involved and make a difference.

GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne said:
“Volunteers are at the very heart of everything we do at the GSPCA. From our Committee who help steer the charity, to our ambulance wardens rescuing animals in need, our dog walkers giving animals vital exercise and socialisation, and our incredible fundraisers and supporters – we simply could not do it without each and every one of them.
On behalf of everyone at the GSPCA, I would like to say a huge thank you to all 800+ volunteers who give their time, compassion and dedication to helping animals across the island. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is a wonderful time to join us.”
The GSPCA encourages anyone with an interest in animal welfare to consider volunteering, with a wide range of roles available to suit different skills, availability and interests.
