GSPCA Introduces Updates to Pet Boarding Services
The Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) would like to inform customers of several important changes to its pet boarding services, which come into effect from today, 1st August 2026.
Having listened to customer feedback the changes are designed to simplify the booking process, help the charity manage demand more effectively and ensure the continued delivery of high standards of care for boarding pets.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"Our boarding facilities continue to be extremely popular, and these updates will help us streamline our service while ensuring we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals staying with us. We would encourage all customers to familiarise themselves with the new terms and rates before making future bookings."
“As our BIGB BUILD continues we have some works being carried out in the boarding kennels and cattery in August. This is not only to improve these areas it is also due to the new Boarding Licencing. For those not aware these licences have added additional costs from the States of Guernsey to operate our boarding and pet taxi service. The changes to the facilities are not just for the boarding areas but all our kennel and cat pens and we are building new kennels as part of the #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal and if anyone would like to donate to these works it would be hugely appreciated.”
"For any dog owners please don't forget we will be at the South Show on the Saturday with a fun dog show at 2pm with Guide Dogs Guernsey."
Key Changes
New Boarding Rates
Updated boarding rates are now in effect for all new bookings. Previous rates have been discontinued and are no longer available, unless you booked before the 1st August.

This represents a significant reduction, with deposits now approximately half of the previous non-refundable and non-transferable deposit amounts.
