GSPCA Launches new lost online form for those pet owners in search of their beloved pets

Every year the GSPCA helps over 1000 lost, stray and missing animals every year.

Thankfully many are reunited very quickly but for those that aren’t it can be a stressful and upsetting time for the owners missing their pet.

The GSPCA have a page full of lost and found advice which can be found by going to https://www.gspca.org.gg/services/lost-found-advice

To help speed up the process of helping reunite missing pets with their owners the GSPCA have launched a lost or missing pet online form.

If your pet is missing and you wish to complete a lost or missing online form please go to https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=gspca&method=online_form_html&formid=18

These forms ask for all the details we need to help reunite your beloved pet as quickly as possible.

You can also upload a picture and request we share your missing pet on our social media.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “From the 200 stray dogs we help every year to the 200 cats killed so sadly on our roads in Guernsey, the hundreds of rabbits that arrive to the found reptiles, missing farm animals and escaped horses we help an incredible number of lost and missing animals every year at the GSPCA.”

“Animals can go missing at any time of the day or night so to help with reporting your pet missing quickly 24/7 we have launched an online form to report lost pets.”

“The online lost form asks for all the details we need and can help prevent a long phone call or taking up time on our emergency line by you being able to provide the details of your missing pet.”

“We have also added a way to upload pictures so if you wish us to share your missing pet online we can easily do this.”

“After you have completed the online form you will be taken to our lost and found advice page which has lots of helpful information.”

“We of course hope you never need to use this form but if your pet does go missing then hopefully this will help you and us get your pet home quickly.”

“Another important way to ensure your pet is reunited quickly is to microchip them.”

“We can microchip your pet for just £4.99 and to book please call 257261 or email [email protected] .”

“If your pet is chipped it is also important that you keep your details up to date and if you need advice on this please ask your vet or ourselves.”
