GSPCA Looking Forward to Another Fantastic West Show

The GSPCA is looking forward to once again attending the West Show this Wednesday and Thursday, joining thousands of islanders and visitors for one of Guernsey's most loved annual events.

Organised by the West United Agricultural & Horticultural Society, the popular event attracts families, animal lovers, horticultural enthusiasts and community groups from across the Bailiwick. The charity has proudly attended every West Show since 2012 and is excited to return for another two days of fun, fundraising and meeting supporters old and new.

The GSPCA stand will feature a tombola packed with fantastic prizes, alongside a wide range of GSPCA merchandise including hoodies, car stickers, gifts and other goodies. Team members and volunteers will be on hand throughout the event to chat about the charity's work, animal welfare issues and the exciting future plans for the GSPCA.

The charity will also be supported by volunteers from Northern Trust over the two days, continuing a valued partnership that has helped the GSPCA at numerous community events and fundraising activities.

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:

"We always look forward to the West Show and are incredibly grateful to the organisers for putting on such a fantastic community event year after year. We have attended every show since 2012 and it has become one of the highlights of our calendar.

"The event gives us a wonderful opportunity to meet supporters, share information about the work we do caring for animals across the Bailiwick, and raise much-needed funds. We are especially looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new supporters. As they say, 'West is Best' and we cannot wait to be part of it once again."

Tim Pellett, GSPCA Community and Training Officer, added:

"The West Show is always a brilliant two days with a fantastic atmosphere. Whether you want to try your luck on our tombola, pick up some GSPCA merchandise or simply stop by for a chat, we would love to see you.

"Events like this help us raise vital funds and awareness for the animals in our care. We would also like to thank the wonderful volunteers from Northern Trust who will be helping us throughout the show and making sure visitors receive a warm welcome at our stand."

The GSPCA encourages everyone attending the West Show to stop by and say hello, learn more about the charity's work and support local animal welfare.
