Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We had a fabulous day at the South Show, especially running the Fun Dog Show.”

“This is the first time we have run the Fun Dog Show and to do so in our 150th Year was a fabulous experience.”

“With nearly 4 dogs entered and hundreds of spectators I had the fun job of meeting the owners and all the lovely canines.”

“My son Joseph helped with the Fun Dog Show and so did the crowd as we asked them to cheer for their favourites as we went through each class.”

“The Rescue class is always my favourite, hearing the tales of how they’ve helped dogs from rescues or after a difficult time, and often meeting those adopted from the GSPCA and it is amazing how happy the dogs are in their amazing new homes.”

“In the Best Trick I think the whole field was impressed with Molly the Cockapoo with owner Chantelle de la Mare who went on to win best in show, the oldest dog Patch got 2nd Best in Show and 3rd Best in Show was Valerie the winner from the Best Rescue class.”

“You can see lots of the pictures and videos on our social media .”

“Chantelle has the Best in Show Trophy until next year and all the entries got a bag of goodies with the final winners also getting a GSPCA top each.”

“A huge thank you to the South Show for letting us be part of their 2023 day and to all that supported and helped.”

“We are at lots of events with the West Show, Donkey Derby and North Show being the next three.”

“Seethe base of our blog pages for lots of upcoming events.”

“This year is our 150th and to see lots of ways to support us please visit .”

“And don’t forget on Saturday 30th September is our 150th Ball taking pace at St Pierre Park Hotel and to book your place check out or email [email protected] “

“We couldn’t do so much without your support.”
