GSPCA Team Enjoy King's Birthday Celebrations at Government House
The GSPCA was delighted to attend the King's Birthday Celebrations held at Government House on 13th June, enjoying a wonderful afternoon in the sunshine alongside many individuals and organisations who contribute so much to island life.
Representing the charity were GSPCA President John Knight, GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne, GSPCA Community and Training Officer Tim Pellett, GSPCA Administrator Libby Lucas, GSPCA Supervisor Ali Le Huray, and GSPCA Senior Animal Care and Welfare Assistant Seb Goman.
The event provided an opportunity to meet with fellow members of the community and celebrate those who have been recognised for their dedication and service. The GSPCA team were especially pleased to spend time with Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell KBE CB, Patron of the GSPCA, and to see those who had been honoured with awards gifted by His Majesty The King.
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne said:
"It was a real privilege for the GSPCA team to be invited to attend the King's Birthday Celebrations and to share such a special occasion with so many people who do so much for our island community.”
"We were delighted to meet with our Patron, Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell KBE CB, and to congratulate those who have received recognition for their outstanding contributions. It was wonderful to see so many deserving individuals being celebrated."
Held on a beautiful sunny day, the event brought together guests from across Guernsey, highlighting the incredible commitment, volunteer spirit and community service that make the island such a special place.
Steve added:
"The atmosphere was fantastic and it was inspiring to meet so many people from different sectors, charities, organisations and community groups. We are grateful for the opportunity to attend and to represent the GSPCA amongst so many people who work tirelessly to make a positive difference in Guernsey."
The GSPCA would like to extend its sincere thanks to the organisers, Government House, and everyone involved in hosting the celebrations and making the day such a memorable occasion.
The charity also wishes to congratulate all those recognised through the King's Birthday Honours and awards, thanking them for their dedication to the Bailiwick and its community.
