Here2there Taxis Drive Support for GSPCA in 2026

The GSPCA is delighted to announce a wonderful partnership with local family-run taxi firm Here2there, operated by Ian and Liz Champion, who are committed to helping animals across Guernsey in 2026.

From now on, every fare with Here2there will include a 20p donation to support the GSPCA and the thousands of animals cared for by the charity each year. This generous initiative will soon be promoted with signage in their vehicles, spreading awareness of their caring commitment to animal welfare.

Ian and Liz recently visited the GSPCA to collect collection tins, which are now placed in their taxis for customers who wish to give additional donations. They hope their passengers will join them in raising vital funds for the many animals in need, including the four rescued seals currently in GSPCA care and the charity’s ambitious #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal, which aims to create state-of-the-art facilities for wildlife and domestic animals.

For pet owners, Here2there also offers pet-friendly transport, allowing animals to travel safely with their owners. To book a ride, call 07781 111812 or visit their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578343528557 .

Quote from Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager

“We are incredibly grateful to Ian, Liz, and the Here2there team for this fantastic initiative. Every penny makes a huge difference to the thousands of animals we help each year, from seals and hedgehogs to cats and dogs. Partnerships like this show how much our community cares. If others would like to support our work, whether through fundraising, volunteering, or donations, please visit www.gspca.org.gg or call us on 257261.”

Quote from Ian Champion, Here2there

“Liz and I love animals and wanted to do something meaningful in 2026. By donating from every fare and adding collection tins in our taxis, we hope to make a real difference for the GSPCA and the incredible work they do. We encourage our customers to join us in supporting this amazing charity.”
