Huge well done to team members Tim, Louise, Seb and Natalie who completed the Saffery Rotary Walk in aid of GSPCA & others

The GSPCA would like to say a massive thank you to the 2023 Saffery Rotary Walk who earlier this year announced the 26 charities benefiting from this years walk which took place in June.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “The GSPCA are delighted to be one of the 26 charities being supported by the 2023 Saffery Rotary Walk which took place last month.”

“The Saffery Rotary Walk is an incredible event in terms of its organisation, the logistics, the numbers involved, the amount raised and the fantastic charities it helps.”

“I have taken part in the Saffery Rotary Walk a few times and it is incredible the views you will see and parts of Guernsey you will discover and would encourage anyone that hasn’t taken part to sign up or join a team to do it in sections as it is quite a distance for many.”

“We have to say a huge well done to GSPCA team members Seb and Natalie who completed the walk in just shortof 16 hours and also Committee Member and Treasurer Louise Gambrell who completed the whole route and Tim Pellet our Training and Community Officer who joined Seb and Natalie for the last third.”

“All did a fantastic effort and you can still sponsor them in the challenge they completed.”

“The GSPCA would like to say a huge thank you as funds raised from the walk will help us with funding towards aviaries for the many wild birds and other wildlife we care for 24/7.”

“In fact in recent years we have been helping over 2500 wild animals and birds which has only been increasing in numbers needing our help.”
