KPMG Team Raises Nearly £200 for GSPCA on Bring Your Dog To Work Day

The GSPCA would like to say a huge thank you to KPMG in the Channel Islands after staff took part in this year's #BringYourDogToWorkDay, helping to raise just short of £200 for the charity.

Held on Friday 26th June 2026, Bring Your Dog To Work Day encourages workplaces to celebrate the special bond between people and their dogs, while also highlighting the many benefits that dogs can bring to the workplace where suitable and practical. The day also raises valuable funds for animal welfare charities, including the GSPCA.

The KPMG team embraced the occasion, with many staff bringing along their four-legged friends and joining in the fun. The GSPCA was delighted to receive a wonderful group photograph shared by KPMG, showing a large number of dogs enjoying their very special day with employees.

Funds raised through Bring Your Dog To Work Day help support the GSPCA's work caring for animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This year's fundraising also helps support the charity's ongoing #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal, including plans for much-needed new kennel facilities as part of the redevelopment project.

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:

"We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at KPMG who took part in Bring Your Dog To Work Day and raised just short of £200 for the GSPCA.”

"It was fantastic to see so many members of the team getting involved and enjoying the day with their dogs. The photograph they shared perfectly captures what Bring Your Dog To Work Day is all about, with lots of happy dogs and employees enjoying time together in the workplace.”

"One of the aims of the day is to highlight the many benefits that dogs can bring to the workplace where it is appropriate and suitable to do so. Dogs can help reduce stress, encourage wellbeing and create positive interactions amongst colleagues. At the same time, the day raises awareness and vital funds for charities like the GSPCA.”

"Every pound raised helps us continue our 24/7 work caring for animals in need across Guernsey. The support also helps us move forward with our #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal and plans for improved kennel facilities which will benefit thousands of animals in the years ahead.”

"Thank you again to everyone at KPMG for their support and enthusiasm. We hope even more businesses will consider taking part next year."

The GSPCA is already looking ahead to the next #BringYourDogToWorkDay, which will take place on Friday 25th June 2027, and hopes to see more workplaces across Guernsey getting involved to celebrate dogs, promote wellbeing and raise funds for animals in need.
