Limited Access to GSPCA Following Storm Goretti – Emergency Number Only Operational
Following the severe impact of Storm Goretti, which brought winds close to 100mph last night, the GSPCA is continuing to clear significant damage across its site. At present, there is no access to the GSPCA via the Croix du Bailiff direction due to fallen trees blocking the lane. This route is not accessible by foot, bike, or vehicle until further notice.
Our team is working tirelessly to restore access and repair storm damage, but we ask the public to please avoid the area for safety reasons.
Currently, our fibre and phone lines remain down, and we are working with Sure to resolve this as soon as possible. Until then, only our emergency number is operational for urgent animal welfare matters.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"We ask everyone to please be patient as we continue clearing debris and repairing damage caused by Storm Goretti. Our priority remains the safety and care of the animals, and thanks to our preparations, all animals are safe. We are appealing for donations to help with the significant costs of repairs and recovery – every contribution makes a huge difference."
