Limited Access to GSPCA Following Storm Goretti due to trees blocking access from Croix au Bailiff
Following the severe impact of Storm Goretti, which brought winds close to 100mph last week, the GSPCA has been busy clearing significant damage across its site.
There is still no access to the GSPCA via the Croix du Bailiff direction due to fallen trees blocking the lane. This route is not accessible by foot, bike, or vehicle until further notice.
Our team has been working tirelessly to restore access and repair storm damage, but we ask the public to please avoid that entrance and take care using the other two from Rohais du Haut and Fauconnaires.
Our fibre and phone lines were repaired and are operating normally once again.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"We continue to clear up and make repairs at the GSPCA due to Storm Goretti. Our priority remains the safety and care of the animals, and thanks to our preparations, all animals are safe. We are appealing for donations to help with the significant costs of repairs and recovery – every contribution makes a huge difference. We want to say a special thanks to Breton who have been an amazing help but we do have limited access to the Shelter still due to trees fallen blocking our road leading to Croix au Bailiff which we have been informed are due to be removed as soon as the tree surgeons can get to us."
