Planned Electrical Works at GSPCA Tomorrow Morning
GSPCA advises of temporary disruption during essential connection works for new Wildlife Hospital and Kennels
The GSPCA would like to advise the public that there will be some temporary disruption to its services tomorrow morning as essential electrical connection works take place as part of the ongoing development of the charity's new Wildlife Hospital and Kennels.
The planned works are scheduled to take place between 7am and 11am and will require the shelter's electrical supply to be disconnected during this period.
As a result, the GSPCA's normal telephone and IT systems will be unavailable. Members of the public requiring assistance are asked to note that only calls to the emergency number will be possible during this time.
For emergency animal welfare matters, please call 257261 and select Option 1.
If your enquiry is not urgent, you can call 257261 and select Option 2 to leave a message on the GSPCA answer service, and the team will respond as soon as possible once services are restored.
Alternatively, emails can be sent to [email protected], however, responses will be delayed as the electrical shutdown coincides with planned staff training taking place at the shelter.
These essential connection works form part of the continuing progress of the #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal, which is helping to deliver the much-needed new Wildlife Hospital and Kennels for the Bailiwick's animals.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during these essential works. The temporary disruption is another important milestone in connecting our new Wildlife Hospital and Kennels, facilities which will make a huge difference to the animals we care for now and for many years to come. While we will have limited communications available between 7am and 11am, emergency calls will still be monitored and members of the public can leave messages or email us for non-urgent matters. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support the #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal and help make these vital new facilities a reality."
