Lorna Chadwick GSPCA Welfare Officer said “Molly is a beautiful 8 year old Chihuahua who is currently in our care at the Shelter.”
“Molly has a Grade 4 heart murmur and problems with one of her heart valves.”
“She has also recently had fluid on her lungs but we are hoping medication has improved this.”
“Molly is going to need heart scans and a chest x-ray to monitor her condition and ensure we can provide the best care possible for her.”
“She is going to need life long medication and ongoing care from the wonderful staff at Vets4Pets.”
“She is such a wonderful, friendly little dog who deserves the best life she can have.”
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “From dealing with the damage from Storm Ciaran to caring for poorly dogs like Molly the chihuahua our work is truly 24/7 365 days a year.”
“Molly is amazing but with her heart problems she requires over £1000’s worth if scans and treatment and we are appealing for anyone that would like to and can afford to, to please donate to her care.”

“From cockerels to ferrets, cats to gerbils we always have a wide range in need.”
“We also often help with a home to home service like with a Giant African Land Snail this week where if you are looking to rehome your pet we can help try and find someone for you for those who have registered their interest or advertising online.”

Steve continued “The recent weeks have seen many challenges as many of our outer aviaries, pens, fences and equipment were sadly damaged or destroyed due to Storm Ciaran.”

“As well as funds we really need a couple of portakabins to house some of the displaced animals until we can build new enclosures and also ahead of our BIG BUILD.”
