Pumpkins and Swimming Fundraiser to Support the GSPCA in Sark
The GSPCA would like to thank supporters in Sark for organising a fun Halloween-themed fundraising event later this month in aid of the charity.
‘Pumpkins and Swimming’ will take place on Saturday 24th October 2026 at the Le Grand Dixcart Hotel, Sark, and promises to be an enjoyable afternoon for all ages while raising vital funds to help animals in need.
Running from 1pm to 3pm, the event is free to attend and will feature a selection of homemade cakes, refreshments and pumpkins for sale. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy a swim in the hotel's heated pool, making for a unique seasonal fundraiser with something for everyone.
All proceeds raised will help support the GSPCA's work caring for sick, injured, abandoned and unwanted animals, as well as wildlife across the Bailiwick.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in organising the 'Pumpkins and Swimming' fundraiser in Sark. Community events like these make a huge difference and help us continue caring for thousands of animals each year. It is wonderful to see people coming together to support animal welfare while enjoying a fun family event. We would like to thank the organisers, Le Grand Dixcart Hotel and everyone who attends or supports the event in any way. We hope the afternoon is a great success and raises lots of money for the animals."
“We often help kittens, cats and even wildlife from Sark and also with welfare advice when we are asked, not to mention we have rehomed and help home animals from Sark.”
The GSPCA encourages anyone visiting Sark or local residents looking for a fun Halloween activity to come along and support the event.
