Santa Paws Appeal at Pets at Home Raises £1,500 in First Week for the GSPCA - Volunteers Urgently Needed to Keep the Christmas Spirit Going

The GSPCA is delighted to announce that the annual Santa Paws Appeal, hosted at Pets at Home in Admiral Park, Guernsey, has raised an incredible £1,500 in its first week. This fantastic start would not have been possible without the generosity of Pets at Home customers, the wonderful store team, and the dedicated volunteers who have been helping collect and promote the appeal.

Running throughout the festive season, the Santa Paws Appeal forms part of the Support Adoption For Pets campaign, helping raise essential funds for the GSPCA’s animal care, rescue work, and welfare services. Every donation — large or small — directly supports the many animals who rely on the charity, especially during the busy winter months.

With several weeks still to go, the GSPCA is urgently appealing for volunteers to help continue the momentum. Whether you can spare a few hours or a full day, volunteer collectors at Pets at Home play a vital role in raising awareness and encouraging donations.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the incredible £1,500 raised in the first week of the Santa Paws Appeal. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Pets at Home team for their fantastic support, to every customer who has donated so generously, and to the amazing volunteers and GSPCA team members who have given their time to help collect and promote the appeal. The funds raised make a huge difference to the animals in our care, especially at this time of year when demand for our services is at its highest. We really do need more volunteers to help us keep up this wonderful momentum, so if you can spare any time at all, please do get in touch.”

The GSPCA encourages anyone who loves animals and enjoys engaging with the community to get involved and help spread festive cheer while supporting a vital local cause.
