The GSPCA are delighted to once again be able to join The Guernsey Round Table for their wonderful Harbour Carnival which takes place on Friday 19th July.

This amazing event this year is in aid of MUG and Guernsey Mind, two fantastic lovcal charities doing great things to help islanders.

Not only are the GSPCA taking a stall down watch out for our GSPCA teams in a number of the fantastic events.

The schedule of events for the carnival are:
World Record Attempt - 5:30 pm
Big Duck Race - 5:45 pm
Ladies' Dinghy Race - 6:00 pm
Paddle Board Race - 7:00 pm
Tug of War - 8:00 pm
Man Powered Flight - 9:00 pm
Prize Giving - 9:30 pm
Fireworks - 10:00 pm

Beckie Bailey GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said “Last year we had great fun joining with the Man Powered Flight dressed as Puffins and we have decided to come back once again.”

“Plans have already started and we have a good idea what we will dress as so please come and support us at this fantastic event.”

Seb Goman GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said “We won a fantastic donation for the Shelter last year dressing up in the man powered flight and for each charity team this year they are donated £500, so a big thanks from us all and all the animals at the GSPCA for this kind donation.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We really love attending the Harbour Carnival each year as it is such a fantastic evening.”

“We will of course put out a reminder for firework safety for pets closer to the event.”
