Simba turned ONE yesterday and please donate to his hip x-ray
We help 100’s of dogs every year and care for 1000’s through our boarding service and this week celebrated one of the dogs in our care first birthday.
Yesterday we celebrated Simba’s first birthday and we are appealing for donations an x-ray on his hips which was discovered just before he turned one.

Seb Goman GSPCA Senior Animal Care Assistant and Welfare Officer tells us “Our goofy boy had the best birthday, full of love, treats, and plenty of playtime just the way he likes it! He’s such a big character and never fails to make us smile.”
“Simba is currently available for rehoming, but he is scheduled for an X-ray soon to investigate an undiagnosed issue. Once this has been looked into, he’ll be ready to find his forever home.”
“He’s a fun loving, one year old Bully Type who will need an experienced home where he can continue to thrive and be his happy, silly self.”

#GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal Update
The GSPCA Wildlife Hospital, part of the #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal, continues to progress impressively. The west wing roof trusses are now complete, giving a striking preview of the future facility, and the east wing roof trusses are scheduled to begin very soon.
With the project now at its halfway point, the GSPCA is encouraging supporters to join the appeal by:
- Donating to the Build Fund
- Sponsoring a room, kennel, aviary, or specialised unit
- Supporting sustainability upgrades, including planned solar panel installations
- Taking part in events or community fundraising
- Leaving a gift or message of support via giving.gg
Every contribution supports the future of wildlife rescue in Guernsey for generations to come.
