Trio & Trouble 2 cats need your help with their operations at the GSPCA in Guernsey

Submitted by Steve on 13:42, 20th Mar, 2014 | 0

The GSPCA rehomes hundreds of cats every year and help thousands more.

Sadly many of the strays and those no longer being able to be cared for by their owners come in with health problems.

Currently we have two stunning cats in need of operations.

Trio who has gone through a number of medical treatments and a very difficult start to her 2 years of life has half a back right leg which needs operating on further.

She is one of the teams favourites but before we can rehome her we have to ensure she ready and healthy.

Dillon the cats memory lives on at the GSPCA & Guernsey Animal Aid Cats

Submitted by Steve on 16:31, 7th Mar, 2014 | 0

The death of Dillon the cat hit many islanders very hard as he was a friend to many that frequent St Peter Port.

He spent much of his time Paint and Sons' Jewelers and the staff there have received many cards and donations in loving memory of the wonderful 5 year old feline.

It is believed during the awful recent weather and high tides that Dillon may have been taken by the waves as they crashed over the walls along the front of St Peter Port.

After a sad start in life we love to see happy pets in their new homes like Fern

Submitted by GSPCA on 10:04, 18th Feb, 2014 | 0

At the GSPCA we rehome hundreds of pets every year.

Many are found stray or gifted into the Shelter as their owners can no longer care for them.

Pictured is Fern who came in very nervous and timid towards the end of 2012.

Fern came in with a number of other cats that were very scared and most were with us for some time before they found new owners.

After nearly 9 months at the Shelter Fern found her new home last Summer and as you can see by this wonderful picture she has settled in fantastically well.

Submitted by GSPCA on 10:55, 30th Jan, 2014 | 0

You may remember Thumbs our life saving cat.

Thumbs towards the end of 2013 was the very cat who helped save the life of a cat that required a blood transfusion at Isabelle Vets.

We are over joyed to report that Thumbs is now in a new and loving home and without doubt is very settled and happy.

Thumbs has a fantastic new family and now has two older human brothers who are very fond of him.

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said 'It is wonderful to see Thumbs so happy in his new home.'

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said 'Robin is adorable and has been through a lot already and we now need help to get his ears operated on.'

Thank you to all that supported the Reservoir Sponsored Dog Walk with Sidney's Events

Submitted by GSPCA on 16:38, 23rd Sep, 2013 | 0

The GSPCA would like to thank everyone that turned out for the Reservoir Sponsored Dog Walk yesterday with Sidney's Events.

Nearly 30 dogs and walkers arrived at Rue des Anvilles car park to walk the 3 miles of pathes around the Reservoir.

Some in fancy dress and all with smiles, the group of walkers with tiny dogs like Jack Russels and Pugs to German Shepherds and Red Setters all had a lovely walk, with beautiful scenery, enjoying each others company whilst raising funds to help animals in Guernsey.
