Yesterday we told you of Tally a dog who lastweek helped save Max's life by giving blood.
We've been told today Max is doing really well and even managed to have a nice walk to the vets for a check up that went well.

Last week the GSPCA were approached to ask the question if we had a life saving dog.
Sadly a dog had been rushed to Isabelle Vets with health problems which meant the dog required a blood transfusion.
The GSPCA has over 200 animals at the Shelter from dogs to birds, cats to a horse and we the GSPCA team took a dog Tally up to the vets to see if he would be suitable.
Tally is an energetic lively dog lwho has come in to the Animal Shelter to find a new home. He is a 6 year old flat coated retriever and loves people.
On Sunday at Fairfields we held our annual Summer Fayre and Dog Show.
With the sun shining the GSPCA would like to than k all involved and that supported what turned out to be a fantastic day.
GSPCA staff and volunteers were aided by a 20+ strong team of Barclays staff and some of their family members with organising and running their days.
The GSPCA couldn’t carry out saving, rescuing and caring for the thousands of animals that come through the doors every year without the support of the staff and volunteers that work tirelessly every day and night.
To recognise the team at the GSPCA we have been asking for nominations to recognise the staff and volunteers for their dedication, hard work and outstanding effort.
Nominations were accepted both in house, online and via the post and we received an overwhelming number of wonderful comments for five staff in particular and fifteen volunteers each quarter.
On what was a very sunny Sunday morning the GSPCA held another sold out Dog First Aid Course at the Animal Shelter.
The GSPCA have been running a series of training courses at the GSPCA site in St Andrews.
With 18 in attendance and taken by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne the training session which takes just over 2 hours covered topics from dog CPR to seizures.
Many of those attending had a wealth of knowledge on dogs as nearly a dozen trainers from the Island Dog Training Club came along to learn and also share their experiences.
With only two days to enjoy many beaches with your dogs around Guernsey, the GSPCA are reminding all about the restrictions.
Dogs are not allowed on or off lead on the following beaches between 1st May – 30th September:
Fermain
Petit Bot
L’Eree
The Northern end of Vazon
Port Soif
Cobo
L’Ancresse / Pembroke
Dogs are also excluded from Shell Beach, Belvoir Bay, Fisherman’s Beach and the stretch of beach in front of the White House Hotel to the Herm Jetty.
Yesterday 13 new students were trained in Dog First Aid.
With thousands of dogs kept as pets around the Bailiwick, yesterday the GSPCA held the second session with 13 new dog first aiders who spent the morning learning their ABC for dogs to what to do if their dog had a seizure.
The group enjoyed not only learning about what to do, but also got a chance to meet Mickey a Basset Hound who is at the Shelter and made a very good model and let those taking part find the heart beat.
At the GSPCA we always have many animals in need of new homes.
Often the dogs find homes very quickly as we have a list of those looking but sometimes the older dogs are harder to find that forever home.
One of these older chaps in need is Pepe. Pepe is a lovely little dog facing many challenges as he has limited eye sight; but he can see shadows and loves people and is a spritely little man.
