On Saturday the 9th March the GSPCA will be holding a bric-a-brac sale, coffee morning and guided tours due to demand.
A number of islanders have been asking that we hold a weekend event to enable them to have a look around and see the two seal pups through the one way glass before they are released back to the wild next month.
The day will start at 9.15am with the first tour being at 9.30am. We are asking for a minimum donation of £5 per person for the tour and we require at least one adult per 6 children.

Throughout March, Curves Guernsey will be supporting local charities by collecting food for the annual Curves Local Charity Drive! All food/toiletries collected will be donated to GSPCA, The Womens Refuge & the Guernsey Welfare Service.
Today Jethou Bumblebee and Hanois the two grey seal pups at the GSPCA Animal Shelter had their second dinner date and we are pleased to say once again they got on extremely well.
Both seal pups are putting on the pounds and we are hopeful they will be ready next month to be released.
We are still appealing for donations toward fish and their care and you can do this help online by following the paypal link below or calling 01481 257261. We thank all that have already supported both Jethou Bumblebee and Hanois so far.
Tomorrow from 10am as part of the Tuesday GSPCA Coffee and Bric-a-brac mornings we will be offering guided tours at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm for £5 per person.
Tours take just short of an hour and include visiting many of the 200 animals at the Shelter.
The main stars of the tour will be the two grey seal pups that will be visible through the one way glass in the wildlife unit.
Tours start at the Event and Training Room. If groups are too large we may need to stagger the hourly start, as we can only take restricted numbers into certain buildings.
Today Gillette the Razorbill who was rescued and cared for in Alderney had his first swim after week of rehabilitation at the GSPCA Animal Shelter.
Alderney Animal Welfare cared and washed him before arranging a flight to bring him over last week.

The tours are approximately 45 minutes long and will include a short visit to see our grey seal pups through one way glass in our wildlife unit as well as the hedgehogs.
To celebrate our 140th today we are offering free microchipping for cats and dogs between 10am and 12pm during our coffee morning and bric-a-brac sale.
We will also have a selection of rabbits and guinea pigs on display looking for good homes.

Tomorrow is not only Valentines day but also the GSPCA is celebrating 140 years caring for animals in Guernsey.
Since being founded in 1873 we have helped care for, rescue, rehabilitate, reunite, release and rehome hundreds of thousands of animals and birds from domestic to wildlife, farm to working and our core beliefs of education and promoting animal welfare are as strong now as they were all those years ago.
