With just 1 sleep to go until the Dolphin Discovery Trail Auction, excitement is building as islanders prepare to bid and out bid for one of the 62 beautifully decorated dolphins in aid of the GSPCA and Autism Guernsey.

Thanks to the incredible team at Artex, all 62 dolphins have now at the Peninsula Hotel to view. A huge thanks to the Guernsey Freemasons who helped Steve from the GSPCA and Andrew from Autism Guernsey get the first 26 dolphins to the auction location Sunday and the last 36 were delivered today. These stunning sculptures have captured the hearts of thousands, with over 1,000 participants joining the TurfApp treasure hunt.

With only one day to go to the auction you need to get your bids in now or your tickets for what should be an amazing event.

Comments from the Organisers

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:

“We can confirm all the dolphins are now at the Peninsula Hotel to be viewed. We are delighted to see even more reserve bids and outbidding for the 62 dolphins in aid of the GSPCA and Autism Guernsey. Sunday we delivered 26 of the dolphins to the Peninsula Hotel with help from Guernsey Freemasons and the staff at the hotel and so many islanders were so excited to see them arrive. Today volunteers from Artex helped deliver the last 36 to the Peninsula Hotel. It’s been incredible to see so many people enjoying the Dolphin Discovery Trail and supporting two fantastic causes. The funds raised will make a real difference to the animals in our care and the vital work we do. We are appealing for raffle prizes for the auction night if anyone can help and tomorrow as in Wednesday team members will be there to help with reserve bids. Tickets selling fast for Wednesday and we so don’t miss out!”

Andrew Sparkes, Director of Autism Guernsey, added:

“It is great to see al the dolphins now at the Peninsula Hotel. The trail has brought joy, colour, and community spirit to Guernsey. We’re thrilled with the response and grateful to all the sponsors, artists, and supporters. The funds raised will make a real difference to those we support, and we’re excited to see the dolphins go to new homes at the auction which there are delivery options. We are so thankful to all that have helped so far and really looking forward to the auction tomorrow night.”

Whether you're planning to bid, joining us at the auction, or visiting the dolphins at the Peninsula Hotel, thank you for supporting this incredible initiative!
