Urgent Appeal to Rehome Around 50 Pond Fish
The GSPCA is urgently appealing for new homes for approximately 50 pond fish that are in need of suitable accommodation.
The fish are believed to be a mixture of goldfish and possibly koi and are currently looking for large, established ponds where they can thrive. Due to the number of fish involved, the owner is happy for them to be rehomed across multiple suitable locations.
The GSPCA is keen to hear from anyone who has a well-maintained pond and can offer some of these fish a safe and permanent new home.
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, said:
"We are looking for responsible pond owners who may be able to help provide a new home for these fish. As there are around 50 needing rehoming, we are very happy for them to be split between a number of suitable ponds. We would encourage anyone interested to get in touch with details of their pond so we can help find these fish the homes they need."
Anyone wishing to offer a home is asked to email [email protected] and, where possible, include:
- A photograph of the pond
- Details of the pond's size and depth
- Contact information, including a telephone number
These fish need a new pond to call home, and the GSPCA would love to hear from anyone who can help.
