Volunteers Wanted for GSPCA Santa Paws Appeal at Pets at Home 20th November to 18th December
The GSPCA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support this year's Santa Paws Appeal at Pets at Home, Admiral Park, as the charity prepares to take part in the much-loved annual fundraising campaign once again.
The Santa Paws Appeal provides a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of the GSPCA's work, meet members of the public, collect donations and help promote animal welfare across the island during the festive season.
The charity is seeking volunteers who can spare a few hours to help at collection points, speak with supporters about the GSPCA's work and assist with promoting the charity's services and ongoing projects, including the #GSPCABiggestBuildAppeal which is currently funding the construction of a new Wildlife Hospital and kennels.
GSPCA Community and Training Officer Tim Pellett said:
"The Santa Paws Appeal has become one of our favourite annual events and is a fantastic way to engage with the community during the festive season. We are incredibly grateful to Pets at Home, the Pets Foundation and all of their customers who continue to support our work year after year. We are now looking for volunteers to help us make this year's appeal another success."
The GSPCA would like to thank the Pets Foundation for its incredible support over many years. Most recently, the Foundation has made a significant donation towards the charity's new kennels, the foundations of which are currently being constructed as part of the largest capital project in the GSPCA's history.
In addition to fundraising campaigns such as Santa Paws, the GSPCA also benefits from the generous support of Pets at Home customers through Lifelines vouchers. These vouchers help the charity purchase much-needed pet food, bedding, toys and other essential supplies for the thousands of animals cared for by the GSPCA each year.
The charity is encouraging animal lovers to support the scheme by joining the Pets at Home membership programme and nominating the GSPCA where possible. More information can be found at:
