Yesterday was a very sad day for the team at the GSPCA as we said farewell to Helen Holmes in her role who is without doubt one of the most diverse staff members at the GSPCA.

Helen has worked at the GSPCA for over 12 years and although has the title of Admin Manager you would often see her helping on animal departments, carrying out home visits, covering reception, helping at events, hand rearing animals, running the vet list, helping owners with their cremations and so many other duties that helped so many animals, their owners and the team throughout the GSPCA.

We are however thankful that although Helen is off to start a full time role else where she will continue to help for a few hours each week at the GSPCA.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “It was a very sad day for all the team yesterday as Helen Holmes who has been a real full time superstar at the GSPCA left her role as she takes on a new challenge.”

“Helen has been an outstanding member of the GSPCA team and even won a Customer Service award and all the team think the world of her.”

“You only have to look at the recent team certificates to see how much people care by visiting .”

“Helen is so caring and hard working and we will all miss her positive attitude in what was a full time role but we are all so pleased that she still will help for a few hours a week and you will see her volunteer and help at many of our events.”

“From all of the team, the committee, animals and many others I am sure all wish Helen the best of luck in her new role and thank her immensely for all she has done for over 12 years, she is truly incredible and we all think the world of her.”

Helen Holmes said yesterday “My last day working full time at the GSPCA , I will continue doing a few hrs a week but moving on to St James as of Monday the 4th March it has been a wonderful 12 years and I shall miss everyone , although I’m still popping in weekly to bother you all , Thank you so much for my lovely thoughtful prezzies , you know me so well xx”
