The GSPCA is thrilled to be part of the South Show in St Martins this Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August, and we’re calling on our amazing community to help make it a success!
Where We’ll Be
- Community Centre Stall
- Friday: 12pm – 8pm
- Saturday: 10am – 4pm
- Field Stall
We’re appealing for volunteers to help staff our stalls, chat with visitors, and support our fundraising efforts. Whether you can spare an hour or a few, your time makes a real difference!
Saturday Highlights
At 2pm on Saturday, we’ll be hosting our beloved Fun Dog Show—a crowd favourite with classes that celebrate every pup’s personality. From Best Fancy Dress to Dog Most Like Its Owner, there’s something for every canine companion.
- Registration opens at 11am
- £5 minimum donation per dog (enter as many classes as you like)
- Judging by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne
- Winners go forward to compete for the South Show Cup, kindly donated by Forest Stores

Equipment Appeal
We’re urgently seeking a generator to power our PA system. If you can donate or lend one, please get in touch—it would be hugely appreciated and help us keep the energy high throughout the event.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We are very much looking forward to the next two days at the South Show and if anyone is free to volunteer Friday 12pm to 8pm or Saturday 10am-4pm please get in touch as we will have a stall for the two days in the community centre and Saturday we are in the field with a stall and running a fun dog show at 2pm.”
