With Summer upon us and the nice weather enabling the outside jobs to be done in the sun the GSPCA are always looking for help with the maintenance and grounds around the Animal Shelter.
Yesterday the team at the GSPCA were over joyed to welcome 10 staff from Northern Trust who gave their day to help the team at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews with all sorts of jobs that desperately needed doing.
TEN members of staff from the Medical Specialist Group gave up a sunny Saturday this weekend to undertake voluntary work at the GSPCA.
The Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has a huge variety of duties that need to be completed on a daily basis and so are very grateful when islanders volunteer to give them a hand.
As well as the obvious chores of feeding and exercising animals and cleaning out the kennels and cattery, there are also a number of site-maintenance jobs.
Spring is always a busy time at the GSPCA with many baby birds, hedgehogs waking, young animals being born and many animals coming through the doors.
On Friday last week the GSPCA were pleased to welcome 11 staff from Northern Trust who gave their day to help the team at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews.
On the 14th and 15th August the GSPCA were lucky enough to have help from KPMG staff.
In two groups the staff helped on site at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews and with the Stall at the West Show.
From cleaning out the Animals to dressing up as Giant Animals at the West Show the team from KPMG helped with all matters of tasks.
Are you looking to send your staff on a day of volunteering and team building?
At the GSPCA we can offer businesses and groups a day of organised activities that helps benefit us as a charity, the animals in our care and give your team an experience like no other where at the end of their time at the Shelter they will leave knowing that they have made a difference.
Today the GSPCA welcomed 16 volunteers from KPMG who helped in all areas around the Animal Shelter.
The volunteers started from 8.30am in the morning and after a short safety induction were quickly placed with staff around the Shelter to help with their duties and care for the many animals at the GSPCA.
