The GSPCA would like to report we are moving forward trying to catch Jessie the stray dog.
Jessie the stray beagle cross is being seen on multiple occasions in and around the St Martins and st Andrews area and we now have her feeding in and around the trap we have which we are using to try and catch her.
Although GSPCA team members have got within metres of Jessie she is extremely nervous and takes off at speed when approached so we are using the trap as the best way to capture her.

At the GSPCA with 200 to 300 animals in our care which do produce rather a lot of waste and we are continually working to improve and maintain our facilities.
Currently we are replacing 5 of our very old buildings with our new multi purpose animal welfare building, but we continue to have to repair and maintain the site where the many animals are kept and the services to them.
On the weekend our sewage pump failed which serves the many buildings on site and we are currently appealing for funds to help us repair this essential service.
On Sunday the GSPCA welcomed 7 local dog owners and individuals interested in learning how to help save dogs lives.
The training session started at 9.30am where Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager talked to the group about basic first aid for dogs and what to do in the event of an emergency.
The sessions take around 2 hours and cover what to do from seizures to CPR.
