This week we have the fantastic news from Avid the microchip company used by the GSPCA Animal Shelter that we have been a winner in their quarterly competition for a state of the art microchip scanner.
The Avid Minitracker 3 scanner is one of the best on the market and will help ensure that stray animals that find their way to the Shelter can be reunited quickly to their owners.
On Sunday the 9th September the GSPCA held the first ever Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday along the Esplanade in Guernsey welcomed 1000's of supporters.
Between the hours of 10am and 4pm the GSPCA, along with dozens of charities, trade stands and food stalls held an event to celebrate animals in Guernsey.
Last week the GSPCA manned a stall at the West Show and got to talk to hundreds of visitors about the work at the Shelter.
Lots of money was raised to help the hundreds of animals at the Shelter and fun was had by the many youngsters and adults a like that played the games we took along. Also many got to meet Bernard and the other Giant Animal Mascots we took along to promote the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday Animal Mascot Race and Games on the 9th September.
Below are the outfits available so far and listed those that are currently sponsored.
