One recent arrival was Woodrow a woodpecker found very poorly below a window in St Peter Port

“A member of public found a woodpecker in a gutter.”
“Apparently it flew into finder's window.”

The 2024 Charities Fete at Government House was held on the 25th June.
The GSPCA along with 40+ organisations took part on what was a great day raising funds and promoting the work of lots of great causes as well as highlighting the #WithoutUs campaign launched by the Association of Guernsey Charities earlier this year.
This prestigious event has grown in popularity over recent years, and attracts large numbers of visitors.
There was entertainment, refreshments, lots do see, do and it was a lovely day.
Each year at the GSPCA we review the costs of our services and from the 1st August a cost of living will start to account for the rising costs to care for your beloved pets when they stay with us.
Boarding is one of the main income stream to the GSPCA other than donations and the team love looking after your pets to help us to carry out our animal welfare and rescue work.”
