Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “These are the first vacancies we have advertised since last year and it is due to the incredibly busy time we are facing at the GSPCA.”

“Although we have very few boarding animals due to Covid-19 in comparison to this time last year, our wildlife and small animal departments are incredibly busy.”

“With hundreds of animals in our care and over 3000 through our doors each year we never know what challenges we will face.”

“The GSPCA team here worked tirelessly through lock down and we still face challenges daily due to our frontline work and all candidates need to have excellent standards of hygiene to ensure bi-security for the care of the animals as well as our team and community.”

“Applicants don’t necessarily need experience with animals but good interpersonal skills are essential as every role at the GSPCA we work with the community and public.”

“For the role it is very helpful if candidates have a driving licence, but we welcome all applicants, especially those looking to work weekend hours.”

Each pack includes an Information Summary Sheet on Terms and Conditions, Person Specification, Application Form and Job Description.

Please read through the pack before completing the application form.

We are asking all applicants to provide an email address so we can notify them if they have been successful in reaching the interview stage.
