APPEAL - Lido the cat needs an urgent life saving operation to remove a growth from his ear canal

Submitted by Steve on 15:04, 21st Aug, 2018 | 0

At the GSPCA we are currently appealing for funds to help Lido a stunning, friendly cat who have a large growth in his ear that needs urgent removal.

The operation is not simple by any means and is estimated to cost between £1500 and £2000 and we are appealing for help.

Lido is almost 2 years old and is a silver Maine Coon which was brought in earlier this summer as the owner could no longer care for him.

Very poorly not so Common Seal Pup Rescued at Chouet now at the GSPCA

Submitted by Steve on 09:22, 9th Aug, 2018 | 0

Yesterday GSPCA Ambulance Officer and Head of Marine Mammals Geoff George was called out to rescue and help a very poorly marine mammal at Chouet.

Only weeks after releasing Temperance the Grey Seal Pup back to the wild we now have a Common Seal Pup in our intensive care room for sick and injured seal pups.

Common Seals are extremely rare in Guernsey waters and to see a pup is even more so unusual, which certainly helps explain the condition of this very poorly pup.
