It’s the 9th of December and today Whiskers our naughty little elf said "Lots of great cat beds on sale at the GSPCA to make your kitty cat a great Christmas gift"

"Both new beds and beds in the Charity Shop on sale 7 days a week."

The GSPCA Shop and Charity Shop are open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.

A packed last 2018 volunteer induction evening at the GSPCA with 189 new volunteers joined the team this year

Last Night we held the last volunteer induction of 2018.

With the 19 new volunteers that attended last night this year alone we have now inducted 189 new volunteers, placements and work through these inductions and are graced with an average 120 volunteers helping each week.

We can't forget the 200+ volunteers from businesses, placements, voluntourists, work experience, community service and others that have also helped this year taking the total well in excess of 400 this year and we are lucky to have over 800 volunteers helping out each year at the GSPCA.

It is the 5th day of December and today our naughty elf Whiskers said "Have you seen the great GSPCA Christmas pin badges on sale at the Shelter."

Appeal to help Andrew the seal pup at the GSPCA Herring and Mackerel needed

Last month Andrew was rescued starving and dehydrated.

Found on a beach in Jersey this very poorly seal pup is lucky to still be alive.

Andrew is till very weak having been found only a couple of days old and in such a bad condition and the GSPCA team are working around the clock to do all they can for this very poorly grey seal pup.

Having had a series of treatments and fluids we are now appealing for donations of mackerel and herring.

Whiskers Advent Calendar Day 4 Last Volunteer Induction Evening of 2018 Tonight at 630pm

Whiskers the naughty elf says “Pop along to the GSPCA Volunteer Induction Evening tonight at 630pm.”

“Find out how you can help all of my friends at the Animal Shelter and get involved with the work of the GSPCA.”

We have now set our inductions for 2019 and the last of 2018 is tonight Tuesday 4thDecember at 630pm.

This year alone we have now inducted 170 new volunteers, placements and work through these inductions and are graced with an average 120 volunteers helping each week, but with over 500 animals in our care there is always plenty to do.

With your help we can ensure thousands of animals are rescued and cared for every year.

Without you the GSPCA couldn't run 24/7 helping animals in Guernsey.

In the last few days we have helped rescue many hedgehogs, birds, stray cats, dogs, baby bunnies and many more all of which need food, veterinary care and many specialist facilities.
